With the departure of Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich confirmed, Manchester City are quick to find a replacement with a promising player.
The young winger came through Valencia’s academy and made his debut as a 17-year-old in 2017.
In the current campaign, he has made 34 domestic appearances scoring 4 and setting up 5.
At just 20, Torres already has a record to his name. His goal against Lille in the Champions League back in November made him the first player born in 2000 to net in the competition for a Spanish club.
The player expressed is joy of completing the switch.
“I am so happy to be joining City,” Torres said. “Every player wants to be involved in attacking teams and Manchester City are one of the most attacking in world football.
“Pep encourages a really open, aggressive style, which I love, and he is a manager with a proven track record of improving players. To have him overseeing my development is a dream.”
The 20 year old Torres is rumored to cost in excess of £21m plus further add-ons. The Valencia star penned a five years deal at the Etihad stadium.
