Former Upper East Regional minister, Rockson Bukari, has come out to clear the air on circumstances that led to his resignation two years ago.
According to him, he resigned to ease the pressure on the government after his conversation with a journalist got leaked, thus, his resignation was in the interest of the party.
“There was so much pressure on the President. People calling the name Rockson Bukari…he has done this and he has done that. I am a single man and he handling millions of lives as the President of this country. Why should I give him that pressure so I said let me get down so that he can have his peace of mind to serve the people of Ghana”, he revealed on Bolgatanga-based A1 radio.
He added that, no one in his or any other administration could have forced him to resign and that his decision was to prove to the public that he isn’t corrupt.
He further dared his accusers who claimed that he always received bribes in return for a contract to expose him.
