93 year old English actor and TV star, Geoffrey Dyson Palmer passes on.
He was best known for his roles in British television sitcoms playing Jimmy Anderson in The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, Ben Parkinson in Butterflies and Lionel Hardcastle in As Time Goes By.
Born: June 4, 1927in London, United Kingdom, he was married to Sally Green, with two children, Charles and Harriet Palmer.
As Time Goes By, Winnie-the-Pooh: Audio-CD are some of the books he authored before his death.
In the New Year’s Honours List published 31 December 2004 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to drama.[10] A drawing of Palmer by Stuart Pearson Wright is in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery, London.[11]
