A viral video on the internet captures the moment of people running for their lives as a fuel tanker catches fire at Kaase in Kumasi.
According to MyJoyOnline, the affected area is alleged to be a hideout for individuals engaged in illegal fuel siphoning activities.
Eyewitnesses say some individuals were using gallons to siphon fuel from the tanker at a hideout when it went into flames.
The fire spread to an abandoned factory in the area and 50 make-shift structures occupied by squatters were burnt completely.
The tragic incident at Apiate in the Bogoso Municipal has now deterred people from going close to disaster and taking videos and photos.
