Benefits of taking egg yolk


There are three different sections of an egg; the shell, the white, and the yolk. Most people know the benefits of egg white because it is widely known whiles people don’t know that egg yolks also have their own benefits.

A raw egg contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, K. These vitamins are highly important in your body.  Vitamins A, D, and K work together with other important minerals like calcium, magnesium, and zinc. Research says that vitamin D helps prevent the risk of contracting cancer.

Egg yolk contains proteins, calcium, and phosphorus.  The body needs proteins to repair cells and produce new ones. Every human has 37 trillion cells in their bodies and all these cells need phosphorus to function. Everyone definitely knows that we need calcium for strong bones and teeth.

Cholesterol can be found in egg yolk. Cholesterol is a type of fat that is crucial to the proper functioning of the body. It helps in the production of cell membranes and also carries special nutrients that are essential to the mitochondria (energy center) of the cells.

Egg yolks also contain antioxidants which can also be found in apples that protect us from age-related macular degeneration (a common cause of blindness).
