Corona virus cases in Ghana is still increasing rapidly with new cases every day. The Ghana Health Service said four people who have been infected with the virus are currently in critical conditions and are on ventilators.
In the meantime, a total of 339 new cases has been recorded in the country which has increased the total case count to nearly 13,000. During a press briefing on Thursday, Dr. Badu Sarkodie Director of Public Health at the GHS revealed that the number of cases confirmed is 12,929. Regional distribution of new cases:
The 339 new cases came from nine of the 16 regions in the country, Dr Sarkodie noted.
-Greater Accra led the pack with 154 cases recorded in 17 Districts.
-Western Region followed with 58 cases from two Districts
-Ashanti Region, 41 cases in five Districts
-Central Region 38 cases in a single District
-Eastern Region, 15 cases in two Districts
-Volta Region, 13 cases were recorded from four Districts
-Bono East Region, nine cases in three Districts
-Northern Region, also had nine cases but in one Districts
-And Savannah reported two cases in one District
