The mile 7 police station, in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana have arrested a landlord who fired a gun at his tenant yesterday at Ofankor also in the Greater Accra Region because his rent was due and had refused to pay his debt and move out as it was agreed upon.
According to an eyewitness, the incident happened yesterday between the hours of 11 am and 12 pm.
“We heard indistinct noises of people talking and a sudden loud cry of “thief” from the guy’s end of the building. The landlord apparently had his gun with him and was trying to elude after realizing that his insane act might be brought to light. To cut long story short, the tenant had planned to move out of the house that evening and had his wife arrange for a bus that would transport them and their belongings as well to their next abidance. I don’t know what would push someone to do this but some neighbors believe they have a grudge because the landlord had been there on an earlier occasion to fight his tenant.” She narrated.
