Some members of Okuapeman Past Students Association(OPSA), have donated essentials and medicals worth GHC 32, 070.90 to their alma mater ahead of measures to help bridle the spread of the covid_19 virus.
This benefaction came right after the school’s management appealed to the government and heralded the government’s endeavor in hosting the 1436 final year students and second-year gold track students who reported to school on 22nd June, 2020.
The items consisted of veronica buckets with stands, 40 handwashing bowls, 40 waste bins, 53 gallons of 5 litre hand washing soap,20 gallons of parazone and 4 gallons of disinfectants, 43 gallons of 5 litre hand sanitizers, a box of bottled sanitizers, 5 infrared thermometers, 2 nebulizer devices, some gloves, medical supplies for the school’s clinic, inter alia.
Mr Asante Bekoe, the president of OPSA, upon presenting the donations monished the management against the individual use of the items and explicated that it’s use should benefit the donee. He further extorted them to educate each other and observe all protocols to curb the spread of the deadly virus and commended OPSA, especially 1990 year group for their kind gesture.
The headmaster of the school, Mr. Atiemo Akuffo also expressed his gratitude to the old students for their benevolence and guaranteed that the items will be used heady.
