Senior High Schools in the Kassena Nankana district, in the Upper West Region have asked their food vendors to move out of the school’s premises, and also placed reminders at different viewpoints in the school as part of measures to bridle the spread of the covid_19 virus.

This follows right after the president’s last address which include directives to slow the virus. According to the authorities, the presence of the hawkers may endanger the health of students, staff and others involved and may as well be a hindrance to management in slowing or preventing the spread of the virus.

In an interview with the headmistress of the Navrongo Senior High, Mercy Babachuweh, she explained that, measures are being put in place to reduce the number of students in dorms and that each student had been apportion to a single bed to ensure the practice of social distancing.
