The Executive Secretary of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, EC, Mrs. Sylvia Annor has rubbished the NDC’s assertions of conspiring with the National Insurance Authority, NIA and the NPP to steal votes in the coming elections.
In a reply to the NDC, she stated that elections in Ghana have always been transparent, free and fair and thus the EC has no subterranean motive in their intention to use the Ghana card and passport as the legal documents for the voter’s register but rather to do away with names of unqualified persons in the register.
She continued that, the assertions by the NDC are coherent strategies to tarnish their image. She called on all Ghanaians to support the EC and trust them to conduct a peaceful and organized election.
