Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has been hit with a lawsuit of Ten Million Ghanaian cedis for defamation.
This happened after a Lebanese businessman by name Hassan Zein alleged that A Plus has used his photo and made comments to defame him on Facebook, that has the potential of ruin his status.
Mr. Zein has sued A Plus among others general damages of Ten Million Ghana Cedis (GHS 10,000,000.00) and an order directed at A Plus to retract the said defamatory comment and picture through the same medium used in defaming him.Mr Zein also wants a perpetual injunction against the defendant from ever defaming him and an order for the payment of exemplary and punitive damages.
Mr Zein Alhassan’s lawyers have also asked the Court for a restraining order to prevent the defendant from “publishing, sharing, commenting, re-publishing the malicious, vexatious and defamatory and or libellous comments about Plaintiff/Applicant, on any social platform for whatever purposes until the final outcome of the lawsuit”.
