Son of Ghana’s first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, called Sekou Nkrumah has described the Late Former President of Ghana Jerry John Rawlings as a daredevil with many limitations.
According to Sekou Nkrumah, many Ghanaians didn’t like Rawlings because he was too direct and spoke the unflinching truth to anyone.
Taking to his Facebook, he wrote;
“I know that with the death of Rawlings, political activities are suspended for a while ( I believe for a week going by what the president wrote in his statement today).
But looking ahead, I am wondering how this sudden death will affect the coming elections? Remember in 2012, the death of President Mills gave NDC lots of sympathy votes! So the question now is this new development going to favor the NDC again?
I guess time will tell🤔”
Mr. Sekou Nkrumah added that he knows most Ghanaians don’t like being told the truth. He admonished Rawlings was a great man.
However, he also added that Mr. Rawlings refused to accept and addressed his limitations.
He added “I know most Ghanaians can’t stomach the truth and hate people like me who are too direct!
But I have to say this about JJ,
“He was a great man, nothing to do with good or bad but rather to do with having it his way. He imposed himself on the situation, refusing to accept his limitations!
“But JJ had many limitations, and he was a walking contradiction in so many ways
He was very charismatic, very handsome in his younger days. He was also very ambitious, but I think the best way to describe him is that he was a daredevil as Kwaku Baako will say!”
