Ghanaian broadcaster, Abeiku Santana has stated that Obaapa Christy, one of the celebrated gospel acts in Ghana redefined gospel music in Ghana.
According to him, the gospel fraternity especially the female aspect was lacking motivation and redefinition until the emergence of Obaapa Christy who changed the style and presentation of gospel music.
Speaking on his show, Ekwansodwodwo on Okay FM, Abeiku Santana stated that Obaapa Christy opened the eyes of many female gospel acts, teaching them that gospel songs should be full of joy and positive messages.
He recounted that Obaapa Christy used to rock on every Gospel crusade or concert because she always makes the show lively for all attendees.
He averred that Obaapa Christy needs to be well celebrated by Ghanaian female gospel acts for paving the way for almost all of them in the Ghanaian music industry.
