AY Comedian has come out to clear minds that he is not behind the verified Facebook account that blasted protesters for blocking the toll gate at Lekki.
A Facebook page having Ay’s name wrote that it was not necessary for citizens to have blocked the Lekki toll gate but should have waited for the results of Davido’s closed meeting with the Inspector General of Police before executing such action.
The post which went viral attracted a lot of mixed reactions from Nigerians as they slammed him for backsliding their attempts to stop police brutality.
Following this, AY has stated that he doesn’t manage that account despite it being verified.
In his words!
“The post on Facebook has been brought to my notice. May death take me before my time and claim everything that I have been blessed with if I truly put that up. I have always stood firmly with the #EndSARS campaign with all my tweets here and on Instagram. I do not handle that page.
I can NEVER be that cheap and docile to support a bad government where all politicians lie for their own selfish interests. As I join @falzthebahdguy & others tomorrow to further make our demands, may their bullets bring me down if truly I put up that post on Facebook.#EndSarsNow”.
