Elorm Adablah ‘Artiste of the Year’, popularly known as E.L shared his opinion about the ongoing conversation on the E-Levy that has been introduced to Ghanaians.
Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta presented the 2022 budget to parliament and as part of a gov’t efforts to raise revenue, they’ve resorted to introducing 1.75% on mobile money and all electronic transactions.
E.L posited that scrapping the road toll for citizens to pay it in a different way is worse adding that Ghanaians are currently watching how to survive the new E-Levy.
E.L said in an interview on Kastle FM that the 1.75% will drain people’s pockets and that a different alternative would be appreciated.
