The Ghana Grid Company limited (GRIDCo) has stated that as at 3:40pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 a communication pole fell on the Aboadze-Kumasi transmission line which carries about 330kV and caused the collapse of two towers adjacent the transmission line.
GRIDCo stated that this incident could affect the national power system, hence brought about the company’s announcement of possible load management in the weeks and months to come. Meanwhile, GRIDCo has guaranteed Ghanaians that they are working diligently to reinstate the fallen towers within the shortest possible time.
