The Ghana Police announced today, Friday July 17 via its official Twitter account that the bodies of two officers who lost their lives in the Oda River have been retrieved.

The police officers, are suspected to have drowned while chasing some robbers at Krobo, a suburb of Obuasi in the Ashanti region. The robbers are said to have crossed the Oda River. In pursuit of them, the police officers also attempted to crossed the river but lost their lives in the process. The robbers, however, managed to escape.
The said officers are Lance Corporals Stephen Kyeremeh and Amedius Akwesi Boateng.
