Ghana Election 2020: The Electoral Commission (EC) has declared that all voters can only vote by biometric verification on election day.
The EC made the declaration on its official social media platforms; Twitter on Monday, 23rd November 2020.
The Commission said it will deploy Verification Officers who will be in charge t use the verification machine at all polling stations across the country on December 7; the election day for 2020 general polls.
The tweet reads “On election day, all voters will be verified using Biometric Verification Devices (BVD). At each polling station, we shall have a Verification Officer who will use the biometric devices to verify the Voter ID card of a voter before the voter is issued with the ballot paper.”
