The Public Relations Officer(PRO) of GNAT, Mr. Peter Korda, has said that, the Ghana National Association of Teachers would be very grateful to any government that makes world teacher’s day, a holiday.
According to Mr Korda, GNAT has had such particular discussion with some past governments but to no avail.
In an interview with CTV’s Anopa Dwabere Mu Kwame Appiah Kubi, this is what he said;
“Governments have come and gone but to no avail. We hope one day, it will become a holiday”.
“We’ll appreciate any government that grants us that wish”, he said.
However, the Institute for Education Studies (IFEST) has urged Ghanaian teachers to come up with innovative ways of teaching and learning to educate students in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic
IFEST also congratulated and commended all teachers for all their sacrifices and contributions, especially, during the pandemic.
