Ghanaian lawyer and politician, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, known by the masses as “Sir John” has passes on after battling with some illness. The was battling complications after testing positive for Covid-19. He passed away at the ICU of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The 77 year old politician has held several political positions including serving as General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party. He was serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Forestry Commission of Ghana until his demise.
His grievous death has left most Ghanaians, most especially, members of the New Patriotic Party, NPP in a very disconsolated state.
